Great served in slices or the next day over rice.

Yield: Serves 4 to 6

  • 2 Lbs beef tri-tip
  • 4 green onions, sliced
  • 1/2 Cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 Cup sake
  • 3 Tbs sesame oil
  • 1 Tbs sugar
  • 1 Tbs fresh ginger, chopped
  • 4 Cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tsp toasted sesame seeds

  2. Preheat grill. Remove beef tri-tip from marinade and discard marinade. Grill beef tri-tip over medium heat, turning occasionally for about 9 to 10 minutes depending on thickness of the cut.
  3. When done, remove from grill and let rest for 5 minutes. Carve across the grain, sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve.
