Easy Swedish Meatballs and Gravy

You could make the meatballs but why? This recipe is when it's raining outside. You want something meaty but you can't be bothered to make anything. Stop yourself before you order a pizza. Pull out a bag of frozen meatballs and make this Scandinavian favorite.

  • Frozen meatballs (Choose a brand that has more ingredients you can identify.)
  • 2 Tbs flour
  • 2 Tbs butter
  • 1 1/2 cup canned beef broth
  • 1/4 - 1/2 Tsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt & pepper
  • Rice or egg noodles

  1. Cook rice or egg noodles. (Any kind of starch that goes well with gravy will work.)
  2. Melt butter in skillet and mix in flour. Slowly add beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, and 1/4 teaspoon soy sauce.
  3. Cook over low heat, stirring until thickened and smooth.
  4. Add frozen meatballs to gravy and cook, covered, over medium-low heat for 10 minutes or until heated through.
  5. Sever over rice or noodles.
