Miso Steamed Chicken

Ingredients

  • 2 Chicken Breasts
  • 1/4 Onion or green onions
  • 1 Shiitake mushroom
  • 1/2 Tsp Fresh ginger
  • Aluminum foil

Miso Sauce

  • 3 Tbs Miso
  • 1 Tbs Sake
  • 2 Tbs Mirin
  • 1 Tsp White parched sesame

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°
  2. Mix the sake, mirin, miso and sesame in bowl.
  3. Place chicken pieces on foil square. Layer onions, mushroom and ginger on top.
  4. Pour miso sauce over chicken and wrap well.
  5. Bake in oven for 20 minutes.
  6. Options Any vegetables can be added over chicken and other meats can be used instead of chicken. If using fish first marinate in sake and ginger for 10 minutes.

Goes well with...

Curried Pumpkin Bisque or over a bowl of lettuce.
