Thai Turkey Burgers with Peanut Sauce

An easy recipe for two in less than 30 minutes. Can be doubled for four or make sliders instead of half pound burgers.

You may also find the ground turkey to be dry. Use ground beef for a juicer burger with the same taste.



  • 1 Lb Ground Turkey
  • 1/2 Tbs Asian chili-bean sauce
  • 2 Scallions, finely chopped
  • 1/4 Cup Chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/2 Tsp Grated lemon zest
  • 2 Pinches Sea salt

Peanut Sauce

  • 1/8 Cup Creamy peanut butter
  • 1 Tsp fish sauce
  • 2 Limes
  • 3 Tsp brown sugar
  • Pinch Sea salt

Cucumber Topping

  • 1/4 English cucumber, sliced into thin rounds
  • 1/4 Red onion, sliced thin
  • 1/2 Lime
  • 1 Tsp Fish sauce
  • 2 Tsp Brown sugar
  • Pinch Sea salt
  • Black Pepper
  • Sandwich buns


  1. Place turkey, chili-bean sauce, scallions, cilantro, lemon zest and pinch of salt in medium bowl and mix until combined. Form mixture into two thin patties.
  2. Combine peanut butter, fish sauce, juice of two limes and brown sugar together in second bowl and whisk vigorously until smooth.
  3. Combine cucumber, red onion, lime juice, fish sauce and brown sugar together in a bowl and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Grill patties over hot fire until lightly charred and burgers register 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side. 
  5. Place burgers on buns, top with peanut sauce and cucumber salad and serve.
