Basic Crepe Recipe

Who would ever think such a simple desert would have so many variations, both in ingredients and filling. This recipe is so easy it can be made Sunday morning with one eye closed.


  1. 1 Cup all purpose flour 
  2. 1/4 Tsp salt 
  3. 1 Tsp sugar 
  4. 3 Eggs 
  5. 1 1/2 Cup Milk


  1. Sift together flour, salt and sugar. 
  2. In a separate bowl, beat eggs and milk together with a whisk. 
  3. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture, 1/3 at a time, and whisk together until smooth.
  4. Heat a Tbs oil on a frying pan over medium high heat. Wipe oil around the pan when the oil is warm.
  5. Pour the batter into your pan, about 2 TBS, or enough to thinly cover the entire pan. Swirl the pan as you add the batter to help it coat the pan evenly.
  6. When the edges start to brown flip crepe. About 20-25 seconds.
  7. When the second side is brown remove to a drying rack and begin your next crepe.
  8. Add desert toppings and serve immediately. Toppings could include Nutella, bananas, nuts, jam, whip cream, etc.
