Sugar Cookies

Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 Lbs (5 sticks) butter
  • 4 Cups sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 10 Cups flour
  • 2 Tsp baking powder
  • 2 Tsp salt
  • 1 Tsp vanilla
  • 1 Cup milk

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar together.
  2. Add eggs and vanilla and beat until fluffy.
  3. Sift dry ingredients together.
  4. Starting and ending with the dry ingredients, alternately add with the milk to the creamed mixture.
  5. Roll out to 1/8 inch thick and cut in desired shapes. 
  6. Dough may be refrigerated prior to cutting for easy handling.
  7. Bake at 375 for 8-10 minutes or until edges are lightly browned.
